High Tea on the Thames

Now what's better than writing reports on a Sunday afternoon? Writing a quick blog entry about having a High Tea on Thames that's what! Yesterday was my housemate, Holly's, 30th birthday party and we had a lovely, girly time, cruising up the Thames on a small boat.
Holly in our front garden with a sign I got her up in Norfolk

I'd been looking forward to this girly day out for a long time because as you have probably guessed I've been laying pretty low, working hard and TRYING to save money for the upcoming trips I have planned. Myself and a friend of Holly's, Mel, set off to the boat a bit earlier than everyone else so we could set it up and decorate it. Now, I don't want to brag but we did a pretty good job, so good in fact that the owner asked us if she could use our photos to put on her website to promote this 'vintage' themed party because she'd never thought of it before. There you go, we're trend setting in Reading!

I knew I brought this dress with me for something! Outside the boat.
Our creation, bunting and all!
So many cute tea pots!
My favourite tea pot!
Scones with clotted cream.
'Oh, I do say, it's a lovely day for tea' - my English accent is tops now ;)
Pouring tea like a lady! I'm sure the Queen would have done this at some point.
I live with for cats and this is Bungle :)
Next weekend is Holly's actual birthday and we're heading down to her mum's in Surrey for a nice lunch. Surrey is apparently very nice so I look forward to that. I'm part of the family now :)

One month until I finish work in England FOREVER and one month until I go to Singapore! 4 more weekends to make the most of living close to London so once these reports are done I'm going to be making the most of every moment!

Love you all X
