Hello to all my lovely blog readers!
Well I certainly did not think I would be adding to this blog again but now that I find myself on the other side of the world again it seems like the right thing to do.
Simon and I arrived in London on Friday the 3rd of April so I've only been here for 3 full days but it seems like longer because of all I've already managed to fit in. The flight was long haha nothing new there but it was nice to have company for the journey.

Simon and I at Wellington airport |
At Heathrow airport we were both met by friends and we went our own ways for a few days. Simon went off to Kent to get ready for the wedding and I went to Reading to have some time with my old crew. The first two nights I stayed at my old place with Holly. Jim and wee Tabitha. Holly was just pregnant with Tabitha when I left so it was lovely to get some snuggles in with her.

I spent Saturday catching up with the lovely Annalisa for coffee and then had a lunch with another friend, Amanda. You probably know them from other blogs :) When I saw them it felt like a day hadn't passed since I'd last seen them. The test of true friendship! Annalisa gave me this lovely bunch of daffodils, aren't I a lucky girl!
I also did a spot of shopping...
On Easter Sunday Annalisa and James picked me up and we went to James' parents to spend the day. I'd been to John and Lindsay's a few times for dinner when I used to live here so it was lovely to see them again. I also got to meet James' brother and wife and their two boys. Annalisa had often told me about her nephews so it was great to meet them in the flesh. We had a fantastic day of eating, eating and more eating. It also consisted of some tea drinking. John's roast lamb was delicious and Lindsay's desserts were just as divine. Needless to say I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day after we left their place.

I stayed with Annalisa and James last night and fell asleep very early after a bath and had my first decent sleep in a while. I've woken up at 2am and 4am the two previous days but today I slept until 6am which I thought was pretty good.
Today the three of us went and explored 'The Cotswolds', an area in south central England. It took just over an hour to drive there and we stopped off at some villages that were very English. Take a look at these pictures to see what I mean.

Our lunch spot |
Our last stop was Newark Park, a grand old hunting lodge. We explored the house and the grounds and boy did we have fun. The house was quite odd, not as grand as other ones I've been to but it was interesting. One room we went in had all these clothes that some children were dressing up in. Of course this meant that we HAD to have a turn too...

What a jam packed 3 days! An amazing time with amazing people. Tomorrow I am meeting up with people I used to work with before I head to Kent to get ready for the wedding which is on Thursday! I can't wait to see everyone and celebrate Ben and Julia's special day with them.
Hopefully more blogs will come your way soon!
